How to choose a wedding venue in Marrakech

Choosing a venue means understanding guest experience, accommodation, ceremony permissions and the full cost of production.

Practical detail

Ask for a layout, not just a capacity

Request a seating plan for your actual guest count, plus the wet-weather alternative. Then walk the route between ceremony, cocktails and dinner. This quickly reveals whether a published maximum is relevant to your own event or merely the largest theoretical configuration.

Six criteria that matter

  1. Guest count: separate seated dinner, standing reception and on-site accommodation.
  2. Privacy: identify which gardens, pools or lounges remain open to other guests.
  3. Schedule: verify permitted dancing and amplified sound hours.
  4. Suppliers: know whether catering, music and flowers are exclusive or freely selected.
  5. Weather: inspect the actual rain and wind solution.
  6. Budget: compare final sums, not just accommodation or menu headline prices.

Plan a meaningful site visit

Ask to see the alternative dinner space, kitchen access, service route, guest bathrooms, room layout and dancefloor at the same time of day as your planned events. Confirm everything in writing afterwards.

Request a complete quote

Specify the same number of people and events to every venue. Note minimum stay, deposits, VAT, cancellation terms, security, transfers and technical production.

What a ranking cannot decide for you

Real exclusivity, team experience and guest travel costs can matter more than a venue’s reputation.
